Anne is a dual qualified practitioner. A qualified nurse having trained at the renowned St. Thomas’ Hospital in London, Anne achieved the prestigious Nightingale award, followed on by an extensive 17 year NHS career.
Anne gained rapid promotion within her NHS career and achieved her Master of Science, equipping her with invaluable research and analytical skills enabling her to evaluate, critic and measure outcomes of performance management and effectiveness of service provision.
Anne achieved an eminent NHS profile in her role as a Clinician, Manager and Expert in Tissue Viability, thus providing her clients with a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
Anne re-qualified as a Solicitor in 2002. A unique and challenging combination of clinical and legal experiences led Anne to specialise as a Claimant Clinical Negligence Lawyer. As a skilled litigator and advocate Anne is a progressive and dynamic individual who is challenging and proactive in her approach.
Drawing on personal experience of caring for an elderly relative, Anne combines clinical and legal expertise to provide tailored support to individuals and families across the UK. She helps them navigate the complexities of the NHS and social care —offering guidance, advocacy, and hands-on support. Anne also acts as an appointed attorney for Property and Finance, as well as Health and Welfare. This unique service is designed to offer practical, compassionate assistance during times of crisis and need.
Anne is driven by a desire to ensure that all clients and in particular, those who are vulnerable or elderly, receive the ‘best care’ to meet their needs. Acting as an Attorney for Health and Welfare and Property and Finance, arranging and supporting clinical and social care packages, particularly in the client’s own home, has become a specialist area of expertise both on a professional and personal level. Anne is unphased by bureaucracy and brings her knowledge, empathy and passion to bear on behalf of clients, families and fellow professionals all over the UK.
Anne also plays a vital role in supporting hospital discharges. She works closely with families and healthcare teams to ensure that the transition from hospital to home or care setting is smooth and well-coordinated. This includes arranging 24-hour care at home, setting up specialist services, securing funding streams, and incorporating assistive technology—always tailored to meet the client’s and family’s needs and wishes. Anne aims to ensure that such complexities are dealt with comprehensively and that the continuity of care is seamless.
Paladin Advocates & Attorneys has established links with specialist service providers such as Agencies who provide Live-in and Domiciliary Care, specialist Nursing Homes and Independent Financial Advisors, all of whom may be able to assist with your loved one’s care needs. Anne is an affiliate member of SOLLA (Society of Later Life Advisors) and regularly speaks at a national level about her specialist knowledge and expertise.
In addition to her legal advocacy work, Anne is an eminent speaker in the arena of medico-legal training, utilising her wealth of experience and aptitude for the ever changing climate clinicians are facing. Anne is a lively individual who stimulates and challenges individuals’ practice, whilst at the same time, providing a creative and pragmatic approach to the delivery and management of patient care.
Whilst a high achiever and standard setter for all those with whom she comes in contact, Anne is an incredibly dynamic yet caring person who enjoys her family and country life in Devon.
